Kustom Cars from the 40s' and 50s'

After WW II collecting old cars became a passion of many people.
The economy was booming and people had the extra money needed for this hobby.
They were tired of poor times and the war. They wanted to do something to express themselves.
This collecting also became a way of keeping the history of the automobile alive.
However there was group that didn't want just any old collectable car. They wanted something special that no one else had. The KUSTOM CAR was born.
Through the late 40s, 50,s 60,s 70s and up to today many of these custom cars were made.
Some of these cars are only slightly modified while others went to the extreme but all offer a different look at automotive history. Lets not mistake these with the Hot Rod of that era. They were similar in some ways but a lot different in others ways. All hot rods were kustoms but not all kustoms were hot rods.
